The summer holidays are right around the corner, and it can be tricky to keep the whole family entertained over the break. We’ve put together some suggestions on how to stay amused in and around Silverburn so you can make a list of things to do with kids in Glasgow this summer. |
Flamingo Summer
Flamingo Summer has landed at Silverburn, with 8-metre-tall flamingos on the mall for the summer. For an interactive shopping trip, take part in a game of Flamingo Bingo! Collect a bingo card from the Guest Service Desk and start hunting for the numbers on the floor vinyls around the mall. Cross off a full house, crack the code, and collect your prize of flamingo sweets from the Guest Service Desk. Visit our Flamingo Summer page for more information.

Come to our indoor Flamingo Beach
We’ve also opened our doors to an indoor beach, so the little ones can have fun playing in the sand whatever the weather. Open between 11am and 5pm daily, 30 minutes of play at the beach will cost £2.50. All proceeds will go to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Read our rules of play before visiting to keep your little chicks safe.

Spend the day at a soft play
The weather can be unpredictable here in Scotland, even in the “warmer” months, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead! But there’s lots of things to do with the kids in Glasgow to keep them entertained indoors.
Don’t let the rain spoil your summer fun – head to Fun Street soft play for more indoor fun. Suitable for children up to the age of 12, Fun Street is packed full of activities to keep the whole family amused for hours. Featuring a soft play, toddler play for the little ones, a climbing wall, puppet shows and a virtual iZone, Fun Street is a creative and exciting place for kids of all ages.
And don’t miss out on the exciting new Ocean Adventures soft play, now open at Silverburn! Located outside Marks & Spencer, the free soft play features a crawl-through submarine, whale hump slide, and built-in activity panels so you can continue the beach fun no matter the weather.
